Applicant Referral Tips:

Tip #1 Make sure to clear any potential merged applicants before creating your applicant list to avoid applicants displaying on the list multiple times.

Tip #2 Review applicant records from a list to save time. Once you create a list, you can perform all applicant reviews from that list rather than accessing each applicant's record to review documents, eligibility, and qualifications.

Tip #3 Applicant notifications are based on an applicant's current status. Issuing letters throughout the process will help you send correct information and keep applicants informed as the process progresses.

Tip #4 Make sure your certificate has fully processed before sending your applicant referral notifications. If the list has not fully processed your letters may contain incorrect information. You can tell when a certificate is fully processed because the Processing indicator is removed and the Certificate Number on the Certificates page becomes an active link.

Tip #5 If you have to Key Enter an Applicant record, review the content first to ensure no required items are missing. You will need to complete all required items in an applicant record or the applicant will display with a Record Status Code of PI. (Pending)
